Hello Parents,

I am so excited at what we have seen thus far!  We put the scenes with the show music and got a chance to see and hear a sample of the show.  It was awesome!  The next rehearsal for “A Gift for You! will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at Knox Presbyterian Church. Please wear hard sole shoes.

Reminder:

• November 5, 2011 - Turn in money received for tickets and any unused tickets

• November 19, 2011  - Dress Rehearsal please bring outfits that you are wearing.  Accessories are not needed for dress rehearsals.  A separate e-mail will be sent with examples of clothing options.  Originally scheduled for November 12, 2011 we added an extra rehearsal and was able to give you an additional week for purchasing clothing.  If you want us to see the clothes you are welcome to bring them in now.

Please be aware that December 3 is coming fast and we are winding down to our last four practices! Woo hoo!  And, it is impertive that your child be at all the rehearsals so that they will know the routine and their cues.  We orginally were not going to have rehearsal on Novermber 26, 2011 but by popular demand we have scheduled a rehearsal.

Also, parents this event is also a Toy drive (participation is optional) we are asking for a $10.00 unwrapped toy and if you know of any deserving families that has kids and not a way of providing gifts for them give us their contact information we can help. The toys will be presented to the kids during the show.

Thanks so much for letting your child be a part of our Christmas production!

Dear Friend,

I am writing you on the behalf of ACTIVE COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT, INC, a non-profit corporation that serves as a catalyst for counseling, tutoring, and training youth, young adults and senior citizens. We tutor in the core academic areas of math, english and writing, we help with resume preparation, entry level job skills training and the mastery of vocational competencies. Plus a year round after school sports program for our at risk youth.

We do this to help prepare and train our community to be a positive force in the work environment. On December 3, 2011, Bobbie Bell presents "A Gift For You" at the Los Angeles Convention Center, at …the show will feature kids and teens from different communities and cultures in a holiday season talent show. ACE will serve as the charity for the event and we are inviting 50 kids from the inner city to watch the children showcase their talents. By watching this spectacular show hopefully they too will find their inner artist.

And, just for attending and watching this wonderful night of modeling, singing, dancing and acting, we want to show our appreciation by giving our kids a Christmas gift. We will have the kids in the show leave the stage and present these wonderful gifts. This could potentially be the only gifts that these kids will receive for Christmas. We want to show our kids something positive, help to develop their self esteem and show them that someone does care. Here is where you come in! We are requesting donations from your company of toys or electronic gifts for boys or girls ages 6 to 15 years old.

If you could make a donation this would make our event a huge success. In return for your generosity, we will be printing the names of each business involved with the event on commemorative brochures. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. We hope you consider making a donation.
